CANN YACHTS,Inc. Brief History Operated by Jerry and Roanna Cann since mid-2000, Cann Yachts specialized in cruising and liveaboard sailboats. Jerry has been a familiar participant in the Annapolis sailing scene for over three decades.
A former owner and operator of a large Annapolis brokerage house and new boat dealership, Jerry had the kind of experience and knowledge that really counted for his clients. Close personal attention and Jerry's wealth of experience was a consistant hallmark at Cann Yachts, Inc.
Jerry sold his interest in his former business in the mid-90's. Prior to taking a lengthy cruising sabbatical in the late '90s, he practiced as a marketing and design consultant to marine businesses. The Cann's returned to Annapolis in year 2000 and hung out their broker's shingle.
Within a few short years, Cann Yachts established itself as "the source" for Saga Yachts as their Mid-Atlantic dealer. Jerry has been instrumental in the sale of more new and used Saga Yachts than anyone. Cann Yachts also specialized in desirable cruising and live-aboard sailboats of other popular brands, such as Pacific Seacraft, Freedom, Valiant, and Ericson, which Jerry previously represented as a dealer.
Cann Yachts, Inc. was a corporate member of YBAA, the national trade association which sets the professional and ethical standards for our industry. Jerry earned the elite "CPYB" designation ("Certified Professional Yacht Broker") from the National Yacht Broker Certification Program administered by the Yacht Brokers Association of America (YBAA), Florida Yacht Brokers Association and the Northwest Yacht Brokers Association. He was one of the first Annapolis Yacht Brokers to achieve this distinction.
